LARRY NORMAN
is the "grandfather"
of modern christian rock music. He is still going strong at 50,
(we took a few young people to see him is Holland) despite surviving a
few heart-attacks and a plane crash. He played with the Doors, Janis Joplin etc.
As a christian he always sang christian songs and was signed up MGM and EMI at 15yrs of age.
He rubbed shoulders with the beatles, and shared with them too.
He left all the secular companies as he was not free to write and sing freely
through censorship. He formed his own company and continued his witness to street people
in Hollywood as well as to the "stars". Amongst his contacts were Keith Green and
others like Bob Dylan After 40 years of singing and over 30 albums later he continues
to witness through smaller concerts.
